Ok, so last night I was browsing Kanye’s Blog and in the midst of the overkill of fashion and weird furniture, he posted a mixtape from Charles Hamilton which was oddly titled, “Well Isn’t This Awkward”.  For some reason, I’m drawn to this dude and his music so obviously I downloaded the mixtape.  It was like 2AM so I downloaded it and went to sleep, despite my excitement. Dude, I had class in the morning.  No time to listen to it.  But yeah.  Not the point.

Today, after missing class (LMAO), I was browsing various blogs and then somehow I found myself on World Star Hip Hop watching a video about Charles Hamilton being in love with a certain socialite who’s currently going through it.  Yeah, duh, It’s Rihanna. He never revealed her name but its SO obvious.  However, that isn’t the crazy part.  While not exactly talking about Rihanna, he mentions that “Well Isn’t This Awkward”, is a mixtape he created for her ONLY.  At first I wasn’t to sure about the title, but now I’m feeling as if the title couldn’t be more perfect for this mixtape.  “Well Isn’t This Awkward” tells the story of a guy, homeless musical drifter as Charles likes to call him, who “shares a paranormally romantic bond with a well to do socialite.”  Idk. Anyways, this socialite lives in a Penthouse.  The owner of the Penthouse becomes interested in dude’s music and allows him to let the residents of the Penthouse hear it.  Including, the girl he’s in love with through the supernatural world or whatever he said. I haven’t really grasped the whole concept yet. You get the gist.

Anywho, I gave the first few tracks of the mixtape a listen and SURE ENOUGH this dude is gushing over Rihanna and her entire being.  He’s sampling her music & Chris Brown’s (He doesn’t like her boyfriend *eh..bad choice of words for Chris’s current title*. He makes that clear.), making clever remarks that only a Rihanna fan would get (I slightly Stan for Rihanna, I’m on it), and even titles a track “Re-Anna”.  SMH.  Hey I’m not going to lie though, the mixtape is hott so far lmao. The concept is slightly psycho, but I really like it.  No doubt, given Rihanna’s current situation this is probably a bad time to release this Mixtape.  However, it’s definitely liable to make her a smile; something she probably hasn’t done in a while.

I give Hamilton’s new Mixtape effort 4 1/2 mics! LOL. That’s only because I haven’t finished listening to it though lol…
